Ravel, Debussy, Satie, Boulanger, my choice fell on French composers from the end of the 19th and 20th centuries. This modern, rich, elegant and extremely free period, offers a diversity of interpretations, between the repertoire for classical trio and the electro-acoustic proposals of Matteo Franceschini, who will weave links between dancers and musicians, between tradition and modernity.
How will this repertoire guide and irrigate the movement? What will be the relationship on stage between the musicians, the dancers and the audience?
Questioning the musical structures of the period is a challenge. Messiaen is not the same as Ravel. Rhythm, pulse, body technique, use of weight in movement, tempo - everything has to be rethought in this sound context. Silence will also have its place, as the starting point for movement, creating the acoustic space that the dance will appropriate.
On a spring morning will be an elegant choreographic promenade where the spectator can travel and dream between dance and music.
