Space, the final frontier!
As a prelude to the Nuit des Étoiles, the Opéra national de Lorraine Orchestra and conductor Simon Proust offer you an interstellar voyage to unknown (for many of us) musical galaxies... But since the conquest of space is a recent event, the salle Poirel spaceship will be manned by today's astronauts, from contemporary music to film scores. Their sole destination: infinite space and its mysteries, dangers, adventures and poetry, through musical works by composers as diverse as Thomas Adès, Kaija Saariaho and John Williams.
Above all, this journey is an opportunity to introduce today's music to the very young in a fun and exciting way... and no doubt to older audiences too!
