Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski's opera Eugene Onegin brings to music the perennial sentimental preoccupations that artist Noëmie Ksicova and a group of non-professional artists will be experiencing from September 2024. Betrayed friendships, forbidden loves and guilt form the intimate material sculpted on stage in a work of musical theatre inspired by Eugene Onegin. Noëmie Ksicova excels in capturing the raw words of the artists around her and organising them into a vibrant, radiant artistic gesture.
This collaborative production is part of the Citizen's Opera programme, which invites new artistic expressions to its stage. It is the fruit of several months of writing, acting and singing workshops.
