Yuri Buenaventura, hailing from Colombia, is a major artist of salsa music and Caribbean rhythms. He is the first salsa singer to win five Golden Discs, and is also known for his wonderful adaptation of Jacques Brel's famous song, “Ne me quitte pas”, on his album Herencia Africana. After a career spanning thirty years, the artist's honesty remains intact and his music is still deeply inspired by the Afro-Caribbean movement. With the musicians of the Opéra national de Lorraine Orchestra, a European premiere concert that promises to set the Opera's main hall ablaze to the rhythms of Latino music.
