The Lorraine National Opera orchestra invites you to celebrate New Year's Eve with a festive evening under the gilt ceiling of the Opera. Paris is a celebration, and this evening the atmosphere of the City of Light at the end of the 19th century is portrayed by some of its greatest composers. Sensitive melodists, brilliant composers of operettas and operas, they knew how to paint Parisian life, to cast a tender yet keen glance at the hustle and bustle of our nascent modern society.
Listening to their music is like catching a whiff of the theatres and the Bouffes-Parisiens, Boulevard Haussmann and Avenue de l'Opéra, the department stores and Christmas windows, hot chestnuts and the busy pavements crowded with passers-by. This is the time of the year when the nights are long and bright. We invite you to come and join us there.
